Haiti in Crisis

A devastating earthquake struck Haiti on the 12th of January 2010, causing an unfolding humanitarian crisis. Over 3 million people have been affected by the quake, with as many as 500,000 deaths.

As with all other disaster areas local people are driven to drinking dirty water which ends up being the biggest cause for disease and death in the medium term. Safe shelter is also needed as buildings are still unsafe and people are simply sleeping in the open.
